Catching the Trends Before They're Out of Style! *Fall Edition*

My first post yay! Thanks for checking out my page & supporting me!

When trying to come up with ideas for my first blog posts, I asked a friend something I should write about. She said she sometimes has trouble with knowing the newest trends and trends that are out of style. One of the hardest things to do with fashion is keeping up with which trends are "in" and which trends are "out." Personally, I am not always the earliest to catch onto trends, but I love to try to keep up with it! In this post I'm going to show you a few fall trends, give my opinion on them, give some inspiration from pinterest or from my own photos, & even give you some examples to shop for to shop the latest styles!!

Curtain Bangs

Whether you've seen them on Instagram, Pinterest, VSCO, or even TikTok, curtain bangs are all the rage right now! Since quarantine, we have all been looking to switch up our style a bit and a new trendy new hair cut is the perfect way to do it. I've been dying to try out this hairstyle myself! I will definitely be trying out this look sometime soon & will post photos as soon as I do. I especially love this hairstyle because it reminds me of the 70's!

Leather

From leather jackets & overcoats to leather trousers, leather is definitely big right now! If you follow my instagram @styledbycarol_ , you know that I absolutely love leather right now! Although it can get pretty pricey, leather is great for fall & so chic! Such a timeless & classic fashion item that will never go out of style!

Green

Green is such a popular color right now! Specifcally in shades of dark greens & pistachio/matcha greens, you can find green everywhere right now! It has always been my favorite color and I love that it is becoming so popular! Even green leather jackets!! Combining my two favorites, as you probably already are well aware of if you follow me, green & leather!!! ( As seen in the top left photo on @josefinehj )

Tennis Skirts

Tennis skirts have been pretty popular recently, as well! Often paired with a cute crewneck layered over a collared tee, similar to the photos I included! The tennis skirt trend is so cute & girly! I got myself one but haven't gotten a chance to wear it out yet :(

Corset Tops / Bustier Tops

From what I've seen corset tops have been all the rage over Pinterest and TikTok recently. They are very flattering and feminine, contrasting with other recent trends of clothing that is baggier, oversized, vintage, has a menswear vibe, etc. These types of tops are going to be very popular.

Sweater vests

Although this trend is not loved by everyone, it is becoming very popular. Oversized & baggier menswear clothing has been very prominent in womens fashion lately. Often paired w/ a collared blouse underneath or even with a cute little tennis skirt like I mentioned earlier in the post.
